No. That's a disturbing view. Scotland is a country which is currently part of a voluntary union. IF the inhabitants of that country decide (and the decision should be theirs alone) to leave that union by a majority referendum, it is right that they be allowed to leave. The rest of the UK have a right to express opinion and by all means bargain to persuade them to stay, but not a right to an active say in the matter. |
