| In my heart I think that as we are all small countries sharing an island then we should stick together, if it ain't broke don't fix it, it's worked for 300 years after all. I do sympathise with Scots who hate this Tory government and feel that they have been getting a rough deal - get in the queue, however, that's democracy for you. Independence will lead to spending a lot of money to unravel lots of things on a practical level, this seems to me to be a sacrifice far too far to soothe Mr. Salmond's massive ego. I don't get why the Scots want to be part of the bigger European Union and smash to pieces the smaller domestic union. We can only hope that if the vote is 'Yes' it doesn't all go pear-shaped and we like idiots get to pick up the pieces and the bill. |
