Shock horror, I agree with Vanessa. It's all very well for Connery et al calling from independence safe from Barbados, or wherever, they're not the ones who will have to face the consequences. Their words would carry a lot more weight if they said they would all come back to live in an independent Scotland, so howabout it? Thought not. I'm also sick to the back teeth about Salmond whining about being "bullied" every time a firm or bank announces contingency plans. It's not bullying, it's saying what might happen in the event of a "yes" vote for crying out loud, it's up to you to come up with either a credible alternative, or concrete guarantees to assure business, something again the "yes" campaign has been very short on, all "this is our chance, we can do it" and very little "this is what we're going to do, and here is plan b, c, and d if that doesn't work out". |
