Hmm, but surely if you are approaching a zebra crossing, regardless of what form of transport you are using, if your view of part of the crossing is obstructed you proceed on the basis that someone might be hidden in the part you can't see ? - if that person mouths off at you I'd expect it to be because the manner in which you stopped was scary for them due to the lateness of you realising there were there. How come I never get shouted at by motorists or pedestrians when I'm cycling, yet I have been known, like this morning when driving, or last night when cycling, to rebuke a cyclist for cycling straight through a red light ?. Sometimes I wonder just what roads the pro-cycling lobby are using, because their experiences with motorists and pedestrians are nothing like what I encounter, nor what I've ever encountered, when cycling, indeed I'm just as likely to thank a motorist when I'm cycling as I am to criticise. |
