| Thank you David for some context. I too am disappointed with how the new government have dealt with many things since they got into power, but if you look at what some posters have written, you’d get the impression it was all sunlit uplands before the election. It wasn’t! It was a shambles. We had the worst prime minister in over 60 years chosen by perhaps fewer than 100,000 people eligible to vote in our elections and what a mess she made of it. At the time Liz Truss became PM I felt really down, but with the benefit of hindsight, at least it guaranteed that the Conservatives would lose their majority in the general election that followed after her demise. |
