It was an investigation into the problems of sewage spills and what could be done about it. In the earlier post I accidentally failed to add that link to the quote that I took from it and repeat below: "The UK currently has one of the highest per capita water consumptions in Europe, but changes in consumer behaviour will only get us so far....." Also there is this bit of a para: "“Cost is often cited as a limiting factor when it comes to improving sewage infrastructure, but interventions that prevent combined sewer overflow spills will have long-term gains..." It is not just investment in infrastructure that is needed. |
