| Quite right. I'm glad you remembered. If you oppose all and every instance of any attempt to reallocate road space away from cars, join fringe pressure groups and sign absolutist petitions to reverse every measure, support Cllr Biddolph and vote for the Chiswick Conservatives then you are anti-safer streets, pro-pollution and pro-global warming. Argue about aspects of schemes, campaign for changes to make them better, while supporting the general move to restrict cars, don't join fringe pressure groups, sign binary and absolutist petitions or vote for the Chiswick Conservatives then congratulations you are in the middle ground. If in doubt then you know which side you are on and it isn't the same one that the good morally responsible citizens are on. You are on the side of the people who rig surveys to preserve the hegemony of the car no matter what cost it exerts on society. |
