| "If even Chiswick traders can't envisage their businesses as destinations then what hope is there for the High Road" Indeed there is no hope when cyclists can't seem to fathom that when bike racks are removed to make way for a cycle superhighway and no bike racks are put back there is no destination created, only a thoroughfare. So not really good for business. And, indeed, when we can watch the same council approve 500+ spaces for our neighboring borough but the very same councillor (Hi, Guy) thinks the 53 we have servicing Chiswick is good enough, then we are well and truly f**ked. And again, you mention speed which goes to convenience. Would walking really take you that much longer you poor thing? Because let's be honest, walking is just as healthy an option. |
