But there you go making assumptions, in an ever increasing ageing population you assume that these people will want to cycle instead of use public transport and that assumes it's fit for purpose and will ditch their cars. Public transport is being cut, is expensive and rarely goes to anywhere near where the travellers want to go. Whilst I personally walk to most of my destinations, I cannot, not will not, give up my car, as it gives me the practical and financial independence I need. |
