I agree with the need for further investment in nuclear power.  The one shortfall to this method of generating power is the radioactive waste that remains for years. 

I do not understand the argument against wind power on the sole grounds that the turbines destroy views and look ugly, surely this is better than having dangerous waste buried on our land or the continued destruction of the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels.  I would have thought that a much better argument against wind farms would be its inefficiency and the size of farm needed to generate a relatively small amount of power.  I think a "green" method that is often forgotten is wave power.  With the correct application,  waves remain the most reliable natural source of power and are used extensively in Europe.
