| I do not think the ‘majority of people’ give two hoots about Europe. They like the ease of travel, the common currency and the ability to bring in shed loads of cheap wine and beer duty free. They also like the positive benefits of shared legislation, better employment protection for example. They also like incoming EU grants for infrastructure, deprived regions and culture. Tis the Daily Express running the petition. The paper of Empire and strange obsessions such as Diana’s death and Property Prices, owned by a one time Porn Baron. Tis the dinosaurs of the Tory Party (or bastards according to Mr Major) and the strange people of UKIP and other right wing little Englanders (plus a few Labour Party old guard) who worry about the EU and will make Cameron’s life a bit difficult as business and a lot of Tory donors are very dependant on EU membership. Better get over it now David and Keith. Nothing is going to happen, trust me....... |
