| No David, You are misrepresenting what I have written. You seem to want and are advocating unnecessary extra signage on the Westway to indicate a 30 mph speed limit that would already be obvious to anyone with legal eyesight (for driving) and half a brain. I wrote (on 07/03) "Spend the money improving signage elsewhere that needs it, the westway doesn't (certainly not going out of town)." I went further to point out why I have a particular interest in signage - it's because inadequate signage has led me to have to spend time appealing (successfully I will add) against PCNs that wouldn't have been incurred if the required signage had been present. The same is true for plenty of other motorists e.g. the ones Steve mentioned who got their PCNs overturned for inadequate signage on the A4. Like I said, don't waste money on unnecessary signage on the Westway, get it right elsewhere where it's inadequate, and you will save a lot of motorists a lot of hassle. |
