Not meaningless at all, and please point out any assertions that I've made in this thread. I have no idea about knife crime and whether Sadiq Khan has faired better or worse than the rest of the UK. I could point out that the number of motoring PCNs issued has increased year on year - does that mean that those who receive the PCNs are offending correspondingly more, or might it just mean that there is more effective enforcement and a higher proportion of offences committed are being captured? It could even be the case that fewer infringements of regulations are occuring even though more PCNs are being issued. Context is absolutely key when bandying statistics about. |
