Actually what you saw was a few ardent Brexit supporters not understanding what was being said and then tweeting. Wow - if that's up in arms then we're up in arms about everything. There's a few saddos willing to take to tweet about each and every programme. No, what you have is a few Brexit supporting (actually, I mean owned) papers reporting that this was an issue. A few tweets make not a newspaper article unless the newspaper has an angle to pitch. Let's remind ourselves of what the soft fruit farmer said - the UK needs an answer now, this year, to the pending farm labour crisis. The government says it will do nothing this year. No-one in the programme said Brexit was wrong (I know, we all thought that they did because its such an obvious conclusion). They just stated that the government needs to put a plan b in place. Rather than sit on its hands with its blank cards held close to its chest (how do they manage that?). |
