The UK government is to reject calls for a Scottish independence referendum before Brexit after Theresa May said "now is not the time". The prime minister said the focus should be on getting the best Brexit deal for the whole of the UK. Hang on. The UK have just voted for an exit. So why no let Scotland vote for the exit from the remote powers of Westminster? Mummy May (the weakest PM since Major) says no. She is too busy. But Mr Johnson said that Brexit would be simple. So why do we now accept its now difficult and complex? Or were people lying? There is plenty of time for a Scottish exit. Before UK exits the EU. Or is the precedent of England's exit from the EU only good for England? |
