I wouldn't disagree with that in the slightest. Having one team so far in front of the others is not good for the spectacle, but I would make two observations 1) To their credit Mercedes have allowed their two drivers to race as hard and as closely as possible whilst remaining in sight of the fact that their responsibility to the team and Mercedes as a brand is to deliver as many 1-2's as possible. The rivalry between Hamilton & Rosberg has been fierce, intense and genuine, something that couldn't be said about the Schumacher years of domination, which was properly dull. Point 2: Mercedes shouldn't be penalised for doing a good job; it's up to the other teams to improve, which is why I wish they would bring back in season testing properly so as to allow teams to develop their way out of problems, although I fully appreciate that it would further separate the haves and the have nots.

Finally although the Mercedes has been the class of the field for the last two seasons, the racing behind them has been superb, and Ferrari made huge inroads into their dominance this year, the three races they won were on merit, rather than as a result of Mercedes messing up. I'm looking forward to some ding dong battles between Vettel & Hamilton next year.
