Fair enough, but I think Greg Hancock's continuing performances on a speedway bike in his early to mid 40's are far more impressive than a 25-30 year old driving a car that is a rammed with technological innovation and which is streets ahead of other teams.

As you say though, from a engineering and technological standpoint F1 is the pinnacle, my problem is that unlike speedway F1 is no longer anything like remotely 'raw'.

But each to their own, as I say I'm happy to keep speedway out the mainstream as more often than not once something becomes mainstream it isn't ever the same again (darts being the rare example of something that has got better the bigger it has become).
