A pilot was recently permanently blinded in one eye by a laser light as he came into Heathrow and apparently the incidents are becoming more common. As for failing to make their case, Andrew, it doesn't matter what anyone says as long as people keep their eyes shut and block up their ears as you seem to have done recently. The case has been made against Heathrow time and time again - the case was extremely clear at the meeting on Wednesday that you clearly did not attend or the parliamentary debate you didn't watch this week. Remember - it was 'inevitable' five or so years ago - and was then thrown out. Even if they decide to go against it, as Zac Goldsmith said in Parliament on Wednesday, it is highly likely it will never be built. Whereas Gatwick would. |
