Ok but many of us have had to do this sort of thing . Mr Bell has a Bank of Scotland Mortgage with a drawdown facility and there is also a third charge so he is not adverse to borrowing commercially. Why do we have to support a loan to his elderly relative?. I do not think the issue has been answered in any meaningful way . If what u say has happened it strikes me as a preference which he has still to properly answer .For starters - the letter to the Chief Executive [awaiting answer] is not well drafted in my opinion- these are in my opinion points we as CT payers need to know 1] How much is the loan for ?And what is it for|? 2] What are the terms of the loan? 3] Who authorised the loan ? 4] Is the loan legal ?ie under what legislation has it been granted . Ultra vires springs to mind from the mists of my studies. 5] How many other loans of this nature have LBE given and to whom? 6] Is his elderly relative resident in LBE.What are the circumstances of that relative? |
