| When I queried AI I was told there were 1,800 bus crossings each day. This seemed to be too high so I asked it to double check and it broke down exactly how it got to that number and it made sense. Taking typical average bus occupancy - that is at least 50,000 people a day. Assuming typical London motor vehicle occupancy that would bring you to the conclusion that before closure, more than half of crossings were made by people on a bus. Even if the autonomous pods or driverless buses were feasible, they simply wouldn't have the capacity to take much more than 10% of this number. |
