| More can of course be recycled kerbside from properties with space for it and you may have a friend who will allow you to share some of the space in their recycling bin. You MUST ask rather than just expect this! We used to swap with a friend in another borough things that we could recycle in our own boroughs when very little was collected kerbside. I remember when we first got food waste bins I just expected that everyone would wipe or swish out their food bins after they were emptied but that did not happen and one week I ended up with one caked so thickly and hard with left-over food it was like concrete and it took me weeks to soak it off. I promptly clearly numbered by food waste bin so as NOT to have that experience again! I'm looking at the information that is currently available - and the list of things that you are interested in recycling. |
