| There is currently no recycling for residents of flats above shops. None. So, anything recycled is recycled personally - by walking it to the various shops that take eg soft plastics, batteries, pens and I know many residents of flats above shops who do this. Since the recycling bins at Sainsbury's were removed, and the Stirling Road recycling centre was closed, there are very few places for residents of flats above shops to take their recycling. Consequently, much of their recycling is put in their purple waste sacks - with not enough bins or, as Isabel says, not enough collections, to cope with the volume. |
