The grit bin outside my flat on the High Road is half full with rubbish from pedestrians who assume it’s a rubbish bin. I am trying to recycle cans, cardboard, paper etc…. and that helps reduce bulk. However this grit bin outside my flat is not fit for purpose. Having contacted the council they did nothing. I did contact my local councillor and she was sympathetic and has helped get the grit bin emptied occasionally. Unfortunately it doesn’t take long at all for the thing to fill up again.
