Bruce, although I will admit to taking flights for an annual holiday, most of the flying I do is for work or to visit friends and relatives in other countries and for which there is no viable alternative other than never seeing them again. Heathrow passenger arrivals are at record levels and growing rapidly. We live in an age where most people have global connections which make flying an unavoidable fact of life for them. Well done to you if you don't fly but you can only do so if your circumstances are such that this is a choice open to you. |
