| Jeremy, you seem to have blind faith that just because someone runs a business they have in their head something like the average of Sunday takings on days when there may or may not be markets over a year and more. Particularly given the differences are not massive anyway. The only way to find this out is to do the maths, not rely on someone's intuition. And this person got the maths wrong. Also, you seem to think that businesses should be completely passive and can do nothing when it comes to exploiting numbers of people passing outside their door. If they do nothing different, do the same as they always do, then it is hardly a surprise if they don't see any uptick. If they take active steps to promote their businesses to more customers at the market, many of whom will be visiting the area for the first time, then I would hope this will deliver benefits. |
