| Derek... you ask about the connexion between Charles Fox and Chiswick. He was I understand the UK's first Foreign Secretary, lived for a good time of his life close to Chiswick House..where he died..was a Freemason..with his Temple nearby!... and at Chiswick Grammar School in the 1950s a quarter of the students were in " Fox House" wearing the green band on Sports Occasions. The other Houses were Heathfield,Burlington and Hogarth! Is that sufficient? Back in 2007..the Forum had an interesting enquiry from a Scottish chap called MacTavish. He was trying to establish whether his branch of the MacTavish family were the correct line of descendents to claim the Clan MacTavish headship. A Simon MacTavish headed the Canadian headship..his children were sent to private School in Chiswick...they died young and were buried at St Nicholas Church.(as confirmed by the Church records).
