| Loraine, I looked at the redesign cs9 website and it says "Ditch it or Switch it" on the title. So is it redesign, ditch or switch? The website hasn't been updated since May 2018 anyway. When you say "signed up for NOT to stop it going ahead." have you mangled your sentence with a double negative? There are plenty of photos of Cllr Biddolph standing outside M&S with a placard saying "Last chance to stop CS9". Pity Cllr Biddolph could haven't spent her time doing something more constructive, like the fabled Chiswick High Road Task Force. Of course the petition was a failure because the reasons cited for stopping were a mixture of mistakes, myths and misinformation and clearly rebutted in the officer's report. Hounslow Cycling and London Cycling didn't do a very good job of skewing the numbers. If you read the consultation report you will see that 941 responses from the London Cycling website weren't included in the response as they were a form email. If they had been, it would have been 66% in favour instead of 60%. Given you appear to have taken up a role as Cllr Biddolph's press officer, I'm sure she is grateful for your support claiming that it was everyone else except Cllr Biddolph responsible for the trees not being planted. Anyway, cherrygate may have further to run as what Cllr Biddolph actually said in her intervention and the future of the trees are still unclear. |
