Well she held the position of strongly opposing a segregated bicycle path on the Chiswick High Road demonstrating every Saturday on with a trestle table and banners and collecting signatures  in a place where it’s dangerous to cycle and where a friend of mine (a mum on the way to pick her kid up from school) was knocked off from behind by a texting driver. I strongly opposed that because I believed her actions were likely to continue to lead to injury and were likely to continue to discourage ordinary people from feeling safe travelling between shops in Chiswick on bikes in an era when we have a climate emergency, are increasingly recognising the impact of particulate pollution on heath and have an inactivity crisis. I’m not implying councillor Biddolph is against trees. I expect she likes them. But did stop 16 being planted and effectively overrode the democratic decision of a community group which was very questionable in my opinion. That is a fact. It just got me thinking about how much carbon trees actually absorb as described.
