"I wonder why he's put his hands up after protesting his innocence for months." Well...because as a politician he's used to being able to lie, spin, misrepresent and avoid any accountability (personal, professional or criminal) that is endemic amongst his Westminster contemporaries....reasonably confident that they won't befound out: that there will be a fudge, it'll be kicked into the long grass or they'll still be quietly allowed a comeback (or at least a seat in the House of Lords once it's all been forgotten.) Different rules to the rest of us you see.... For him this time though - there WAS unaviodable accountability. More of them should get "Huhned" (ie face the just and appropriate consequences of their dishonesty or incompetence!) Wehey! |
