"Typically, the non-London British businessman now eschews British Airways (BA) where it has removed all service – as it has at Birmingham – in favour of KLM via Amsterdam, Air France via Paris, or Lufthansa via Frankfurt services." Not so sure about that. My brother is a Brum based businessman and he flies all long-haul from Heathrow (to which he drives). WRT Heathrow being a hub - it is a hub for travellers living around Europe. If you live in Cyprus and want to get to the US - Heathrow would be a natural place to go. According to Boris's document about a third of the passengers arriving at Heathrow are destined elsewhere. |
