The reach of the aviation lobby is, by your own evidence, into the boardrooms of the UK's largest businesses, which is sort of my point about what we're up against here. Obviously it also reaches into the machinations of government and indeed into City Hall*, as well as into the media/PR nexus. I suppose what I'm saying is you have to find some pro-business group that *isn't* in favour - London First are probably as good an example as any, but even they want to see investment in Heathrow and aren't wholly convincing as opponents. http://www.london-first.co.uk/transport/aviation/ * Via Deputy Mayor Kit Malthouse, who's got solid aviation lobby links.
