| I, completely agree. There was a clear undertaking by the UK government and BAA not to apply for a third runway when T5 was approved, and the planning inspector made it clear that no further development should be contemplated. So what exactly did people know when they moved in the area, and lots of people have lived here for many years.The idea of business being massively pro R3 is just bullshit, may oppose it. How is anyone goign to get around when the m4 is gridlocked and tubes even more overloaded. Dont forget the transit passengers dont pay the passenger duty. Tax them, encourage them to go to Amsterdam or Frankfurt, and with new, larger plans there is lots of capacity available. |
