Once again you miss the point, Ms Kaur. The issue is whether she is a good constituency MP - this involves dealing with issues rather closer to home than the maternal mortality rate in the developing world. If she paid proper attention to her basic job of looking after her constituents, then she might deserve praise for looking after the interests of those in need elsewhere. As it is, her failure to provide a proper service to those who she "represents" is likely to provide her with much more time to look after others after May next year - as an acolyte of Gordon Bean she will probably be elevated to the Lords and be able to pursue her other interests with the aid of a hefty state pension and an attendance allowance without the bother of having constituents to concern her. |
