Please, let's not get too side-tracked on this discussion. I would simply like to know if I can successfully appeal my PCN.
Last night, I was called by a neighbour to say she had seen someone in our house, which is being re-built. I rushed over and called the Police on the way. They were there, with dogs following on (we soon realised they wouldn't be much use climbing a ladder!), 5 minutes after me!
I was nervously prepared to confront the 'burglar'; a length of 2x2 in hand, but I was relieved when the Police went in before me. Fortunately, he'd 'done a runner' by the time they arrived, but I was extremely impressed with the boys from Chiswick. They can have a Fouberts on me!
There's no excuse for some of the reactions we witnessed recently from a small minority, but when our personal safety, family and property are threatened, who do we want there... a G20 protester or the Police?
