I've just received a PCN issued by CCTV outside the wood flooring shop off CHR opposite Turnham Gn Terrace. I wanted to unload some samples, but in my attempt to keep the narrow road passable, my vehicle accidentally strayed onto the kerb, giving rise to a '62 - parked with 1 or more wheels on any part of an urban road other than a carriageway (footway parking)'.
The PCN may be technically accurate, but it was accidental, I wasn't obstructing the footway or carriageway, and as soon as I noticed what I had done, I got back in and drove off. It was a few seconds in total and I didn't even leave the vehicle unattended.
I believe LBH has been over-zealous in this instance and will appeal to LBH's better nature, which I suspect will be unlikely to succeed. However, someone mentioned that for a PCN to be enforceable, it must display the vehicle colour and time of issue, neither of which are displayed.
There are some well-informed and LBH Parking battle-hardened Forum members out there. Perhaps someone could comment on my situation.
By the way, I was not blocking a bus lane, or being inconsiderate to cyclists, mums(au pairs & dads)with buggies, the elderly and/or disabled, or those on benefits. Have I missed anyone?
