Michael, I hadn't forgotten them - but they weren't on the pavement just parking where they shouldn't have been under the sight of the CCTV camera.

Seriously, I don't like getting PCNs just as much as the next person but what annoys me is the double standards with the Council and police vehicles parking willy nilly.  The postings on this site about how an individual can appeal against this or that PCN really misses the bigger picture.

I don't want to stretch the point too far but we have all seen the recent images of the police being out of control on the street on London, batons in hand. Police seem to have lost the ability to talk civilly to citizens.  The growth of the surveillance state, innocent people on the DNA database, impending ID cards and universal fingerprinting, the cavalier treatment by state bodies or our personal data, the arrest of people under the Terrorism Act for what they read.........
