| Wasn't it Thatcher who thought the City would provide for all - and we didn't need our manufacturing base anymore? Do you remember any handouts for the miners, the fisherman or the shipbuilders? No? Neither do I, but the greedy b******s of the City who've pocketed massive bonuses on the back of dodgy deals, and run around in their Ferraris and Porsches are quick enough to get in line for a state handout. And do remind us - who was it who sold off our utilities, that are now all owned by foreign investors who are also taking us to the cleaners? Talk about chickens coming home to roost................ |
