yes. I think over the last few months Darling and brown have been worrying about how nasty things could turn (remember darling being condemned for scaremongering)-and they are now leading the world in tackling the problems (eg Sticking up for Uk depositors against Iceland). and look far more on the ball than Bush and his regime. i still think Brown and Darling have to answer questions about why banks' lending (110%mortgages etc) wasn't more regulated. Osborne as shadow chancellor looks petty and inconsistent - calling for less regulation last year and blaming it all on brown at this years tory conference I don't think the BBC's smug 'experts' look clever or informed either |
