| "This would appear to me to be Gordon Brown and his government" I'm not saying Brown is not complicit but this is not just a UK thing is it? Margret Thatcher is as much to blame, if not more, for where we are. But the true blame lies with those who set up and run the sytems that allow the stock market to be so volitile. So blaming the government is not a smart option as it is not their fault in this case. If they tried to change things the amount of pressure against them would be unbearable. We've heard form those who are at the coal face of the financial industry here and they are frighteningly clueless about the whole thing. |
