| An upgrade would be justified considering how much station usage is likely to rise. On top of Sainsbury's flats there will now be the new units at Dukes Gate. Also I think quite a lot of the new flats on Bollo Lane have been unoccupied due to various issues including with cladding but this apparently is being sort so they will start to fill up. In addition to the station, something needs to be done about pedestrian access. The pavement sloping down Acton Lane besides the Sainsbury's car park can get quite congested and I regularly see people stepping out into the road with cars approaching from down the hill. The steepness of the hill means it may not be long before someone is unable to break in time. Similarly the pedestrian crossing before the roundabout can be a bit of a gamble. If a tunnel really isn't an option then neither is doing nothing. |
