| When this was introduced a woman that I know who lives on GDL said she broke down in tears of joy when it was introduced. Instead of haveing to wait up to 30 minutes to get home from Ealing road to her car park, she could do it in seconds. I was worried (and so were the traffic engineers) when it was introduced because it was very innovative. I was worried about residents thinking 'oh spit, I forgot to pick up my tins of beans' and inadvertently breaking the system. If it ever happened, I never had a single complaint about this scheme from any resident. A couple of people got caught early on but I haven't heard it repeating since the signage was adjusted shortly after it started. |
