Wrong, again, Chris. Simply take a look at any of the planning applications for these buildings. There will be parking but it is limited. They are also required to provide cycle parking. In fact, that's true for refurbishments as well. Brentford being the exception. What goes unaddressed is the increase in volume these buildings create from deliveries as well as ride shares. I can't wait to see what happens where Old Oak Road meets the A40 where the old Homebase was. That intersection is awful at the best of times and now there are hundreds of new flats which will generate hundreds and hundreds of deliveries to a bottleneck. And won't it be fun to get stuck behind an Uber idling curbside for a fare to come down from Apartment 8H. |
