As I said, this article didn't lift all my posts. "All too often last year, Labour councils introduced temporary cycle lanes and LTNs overnight with minimal or no consultation." That's playing to Redshaw's intended audience. All councils, Labour or Conservative, introduced their traffic measures with no prior consultation because immediate deployment without consultation was a condition of receiving funding from the government! To continue the measures it is now necessary to have consultation. I think you actually you knew this, Bruce, so trust you don't feel too disheartened by my response. |
