Found your route. So after braving the HP roundabout, that's round the houses in Notting Hill, the only way in from the west north of the A4 if you're avoiding KHS and HPA. Not so bad for Marylebone, but quite a detour for points south. South of the A4 there's one or two alternatives through Chelsea, but again they're round the houses. There's effectively a two mile barrier to safe cycling running NS across West London. That's twice the distance from Acton Lane to Goldhawk Road that some motorists found completely unacceptable. It sounds like you appreciate that C9 needs to be pushed through the middle off that barrier to join up to the network that currently stops abruptly in Hyde Park. The sooner the permanent C9 is built and RBKC relent over extending it up KHS, the better. |
