I think you missed the sarcasm about the paradise that has been bestowed upon the elderly and less able in my first post Adrian. Nobody can cross the street between the fishmonger and the butcher with a zimmerframe now. That was the point I was making. And there will certainly never be any way to do it in a wheelchair now that the OC have won the space for cars. You seem to believe that three and sometimes four rows of cars when the double yellow line evasion hazard lights are activated on TGT make the street more accessible for less able people. I don't. I think it makes it hellish for them. I think that the people who don't care about them are the people who just care about being able to drive and park their cars wherever they like blocking people from crossing the street safely and also ensuring that there will be no room for them at all on the pavements and therefore the street for vulnerable people when social restrictions return. |
