"I appreciate Tony's clarity but am still left failing to understand the problem on TGT that is being fixed. TGT is bordered by two large and popular greens with open spaces and benches and the area around the fountain. What is the obsession with turning it into a pedestrian zone, and who asked the businesses and shoppers if they even want that. Where is the E3 meant to go and how do people access the areas busiest tube station, which at some point will also have a Pic line interchange." Is this the same "areas busiest tube station" that I complained about having to step into the road to avoid commuters walking automaton-like towards me as I exited or having to flatten myself against the wall as commuters ran down the both sets of steps from the platform to street level? Many of the problems are surely due to a pandemic with fewer tube using commuters and many people not going out to window shop or only doing one stop shopping. |
