When it does open, Matthew, I wish you the best of luck navigating the flooded intersections. One month after removing the refuge and installing a new dropped curb and zebra at Mayfield Avenue, TfL have completely dug it up again and put in new tarmac presumably to fix the problem. Funny thing about water. It simply finds another route and another place to puddle. What's needed is a drain. But no. So after how many miles of new cycle lanes and how much trial and error TfL still doesn't know how to deal with the most basic of roadwork issues? Engineering 101. Maybe Michael can help. Computer says no. Better yet, budget says no. Pile on though when someone points out this obvious flaw and/or ineptitude. Simply imagine how much more or how much better your cycle infrastructure could have been were it not for gross mismanagement. Then get angry with the likes of me for pointing out that mismanagement but do pat yourselves on your backs for some really lousy infrastructure. |
