| I saw the same in Hammersmith. But John, as you know, without the cycle lane flow of traffic when dominoes fall would have been mitigated. Buses would have moved more readily as could emergency vehicles. I do so hope it won't be you or a loved one who falls in and needs an ambulance in these circumstances. And when it comes to bus lanes again I will ask why haven't smart signs made their way to all of the road network? If the bus lane still existed and if it had a smart sign, then a situation like we saw yesterday could have been greatly reduced by the flick of a switch allowing all vehicles to use all lanes until such time as gridlock was reduced. |
