| Steven, unfortunately you are correct. But expect now the cycling duo to flood this thread with reasons why its actually a good thing. Prebend Gardens only useful if you are heading eastbound, given the no right turn. The challenge that the proponents steadfastly refuse to accept is that the two alternative routes are already heavily congested, and its not just private vehicles that suffer. I sat on the 237 yesterday crawling down Goldhawk Rd to the High road, with that stretch of the High Rd also set to lose the vital bus lane that was invaluable at peak times. Bus speeds have been falling every year for the last 4-5 years, despite more 24/7 bus lanes and falling overall vehicle numbers. |
