It's an argument certainly, and if you are referring to an independent candidate you might even make a compelling case, but MP's of major parties stand on their parties manifesto, which is why they resign the whip if they are no longer able to support their party. Ergo you vote for an MP's party manifesto as much as you do the MP in question. Politics should be taught up to at least GCSE level. |
